Obituary for Alice E. Hunt

Auburn – Alice E. Hunt, 78, a former resident of East Livermore, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Bolster Heights Nursing Home in Auburn. She was born August 24, 1943, in East Livermore, the daughter of Harold Wentzel and Mary (Livermore) Wentzel. She was a 1961 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On December 31, 1963, she married Weston of Livermore Falls. They enjoyed 45 years together before his passing on June 3, 2008. Alice devoted her time to her family and her home. She enjoyed reading, baking, playing cards and bingo, and she especially loved knitting. It was rare to see her without knitting needles in her hands, and all her loved ones ended up with a pair of knitted socks from her. She enjoyed socializing, taking day trips with family and she loved to laugh. She fought many medical battles the last few years, and she was admired for her strength in surviving these battles without complaint. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She is survived by her son Brad and his fiancée Lauren Walsh of Livermore Falls, daughter Wanda and her significant other Joseph Rivet of Manchester NH, son Ron and his wife Erika of Wasilla, AK, stepson Phil and his wife Christine of Mechanic Falls, stepson Stanley of Pittsfield, sister Faye Cyr of Livermore Falls, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by many loved ones including her husband Weston, daughter Holly, son John, stepson Walter, sister Eleanor, her parents, and other extended family members.
