Auburn - Anna Mae Jipson, 85, a former resident of Leeds, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, at Clover Manor Nursing Home in Auburn. Mom was born September 24, 1937, in Leeds, the daughter of Harry and Lillian Burnham. She attended school in Leeds, later receiving her GED and her CNA. On July 29, 1957, in Wales, she married William W. Jipson, Sr., they enjoyed 30 years together before his passing on December 15, 1987. Anna was employed at Heritage Home and then at Central Maine Medical Center until her retirement. After retirement she worked at Bolster Heights Residential Care because all her friends were working there. Mom was an avid bingo player all her life, she loved butterflies, knitting and crocheting. Anna is survived by her children, William W. Jipson, Jr. and wife Linda of Augusta, Wanda Stratton and husband Jeff of Leeds, Wayne A. Jipson of Leeds, Wade M. Jipson and wife Victoria of Leeds, Willa Jipson and fiancé Mark of Norway, Warren E.Jipson and wife Cindy of Leeds, Wendall Jipson and fiancé Patty of Auburn, many grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a sister Roberta Gagnon. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, William Jipson Sr., her siblings, Lois Harrington, Marion Gagnon and Harold Burham.
