Turner – Barbara Louise Goyette, 89, a longtime resident of Turner, passed away Thursday, February 17th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 13, 1932 in New Rochelle, New York, the daughter of George Benz and Bertha (Parker) Benz. She attended school in New York. On August 13, 1949 in New Rochelle, New York, she married Joseph Rene Goyette. They enjoyed 59 years together before his passing on December 13, 2008. Barbara devoted her time to her family and her home. She enjoyed reading, being a homemaker and caring for her family. She is survived by her sons, Robert Goyette and wife Linda of Jay, Roger Goyette of Turner, daughters, Marie Spence of Livermore Falls, Georgianna Edmunds and husband Ernest of Canton, and Renee Barden and husband Vince of Strong, 14, grandchildren, 24, great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Joseph, her son, Gregory Goyette, siblings, Norman, Frederick and George Benz, Ann Warner and Helen McCloud.
