Lewiston – Cody R. Buck, 85, of Turner, died August 1, 2023 at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston after a brief illness. Born August 31, 1937 in Ware, MA., to Marion and Eugene Richardson, she was raised in Turner and graduated from Leavitt Institute in 1955. On August 30, 1959 she married Kenneth Buck who died in 2018. Cody followed Ken, a career Navy man to many bases in the U.S. before settling in N.Y. State. She had small businesses at various craft fairs and also worked at Tom Walls in New York. After Ken’s passing, she moved to Maine to be near her family. Cody is survived by her daughter, Kathy Rogers of Florida and her son, Ken Buck, Jr. of Turner. Her grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah Buck of NY., Justin and Jacob Buck of Turner, great-grandchildren, Natalie and Gavin Buck of NY. Her sisters, Goldie Sampson, Shirley Cummings and Martha Trask of Turner, her brothers, David, Harry, Danny and Lonnie Richardson of Turner, her brothers-in-law, Oswald Campbell and Greg Trask, her sisters-in-law, Edna, Sheila, Gwen, and Jane Richardson. Cody also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Joan Campbell and Erla Shocklee and brother, Eugene Richardson, Jr., brothers-in-law, Robert Sampson, Randall Shocklee and Leland Cummings.
