Obituary for Daniel L. Mansfield

Auburn – Daniel L. Mansfield, 82, a resident of Winthrop, died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Androscoggin Hospice House. He was born in Terryville, Connecticut, on September 8, 1940, the son of David W. Mansfield and Clara (Weed) Mansfield. He graduated from Hillhouse High School in New Haven Connecticut and graduated from Bible Baptist Institute in Waterford, Connecticut. He worked as a letter carrier for 30 plus years for the United States Postal Service. On October 9, 1993, he married Sandra Hewett, at the Victory Baptist Church. He loved to collect coins, lift weights and watch westerns. When he took a vacation, it was to help a church or revival. His life’s passion was sharing the gospel and leading everyone he could to accept God’s gift of eternal life. He was survived by his wife of 29 years, Sandra Mansfield of Winthrop, two daughters, Brenda Mansfield and Kimberly Mansfield Currie, both of East Haven, Connecticut, one sister, Judy Perkins of Florida, two grandsons, David Currie, Stephen Currie, a granddaughter, Lauren Currie and two children given to him by God in his old age, Todd Larrabee of Monmouth and Lisa Glidden and her husband Charles of Waterville. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, David and Richard Mansfield, two sisters, Carolyn Duncan and Kathleen Cochefski. Mansfield, – Daniel L. - 82, a resident of Winthrop, passed away Wednesday April 19, 2023, in Auburn, Maine. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Victory Baptist Church 1170 US Rt 202, Winthrop, Maine. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1PM prior to the funeral service at the church. Arrangements by the BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine. Spring burial will be held on a later date at Fayette Mills Cemetery, Fayette, Maine.
