Obituary for Gary R. Bragg

Lewiston – Gary R. Bragg, 60, a resident of Livermore passed away, Monday, September 19, 2022, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston following a brief illness. He was born January 8, 1962, in Brockton, Massachusetts, the son of Douglas Edson Bragg and Doris (Grindle) Bragg. He was a graduate of Abington High School, and he also took environmental college courses. Following school, he joined the Army National Guard and proudly served for 13 years. Gary worked in security for over 19 years for Capitol Police in Augusta for the State of Maine and was a member of the Maine Service Employees Association SEIU Local 1989. In August of 2003 he married his longtime friend and companion, Leeann J. Carmean. He enjoyed swimming, hiking, and finding unique rocks, he was a collector of everything, comic books, pens, you name it, he collected it. More than anything though, he loved family and friends. He was very family oriented and loved spending time with his son Jeremiah and his daughter Emma. He also enjoyed hanging out with his brothers and having debates with them about everything. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by those who knew him. He is survived by his wife Leeann J. Bragg of Livermore, his son Jeremiah Bragg of Waldoboro, his daughter Emma Bragg of Livermore, brothers, Robert Bragg of Mount Vernon and Kenneth Bragg and wife Amber of Lewiston, and sister-in-law Lindy Bragg of Boothbay Harbor.
