Litchfield –. Gavin G. Chasse, 24, a resident of Litchfield, passed away at his home Wednesday, May 3, 2023, due to complications from chronic kidney disease. Gavin was born in Lewiston, Maine on December 25, 1998, the son of Jessica Chasse and Brandon Ridley. Gavin was a 2017 graduate of Oak Hill High School where he proudly wore his #78 Jersey as an Oak Hill Raider. Gavin worked for Neuco doing gas line installation. From the time Gavin was little, he loved working and playing in the dirt. Gavin played sports all throughout his life from baseball, basketball, and lacrosse to football. Gavin made lifelong friends along the way to helping the Raiders win three consecutive state football championships. Gavin loved all things outdoors from hunting and fishing to four wheeling and snowmobiling with friends and family. His dream was to live off the land someday. Gavin was the life of the party; his smile was larger than life. Gavin was happiest when he was making others laugh and smile. All mother and son bonds are special, but Gavin and his mother were exceptionally close. There is nothing that either one of them wouldn’t do for the other. She was his rock, and he was her focus always. Gavin is survived by his mother, Jessica Chasse and stepfather Chris Dube of Litchfield, his father , Brandon Ridley of Litchfield, maternal grandparents Jackie and Harold Jewell of Litchfield, Ron and Sandy Chasse of Lisbon, paternal grandparents, Becky and Butch Turcotte of Monmouth, two brothers, Christopher Armstrong of Monmouth, Skyler Ridley of Litchfield, a sister, Brianna Ridley of Litchfield, a nephew Crew Armstrong of Monmouth and far too many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends to mention here. Gavin was loved by so many. Gavin was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Gerald Ridley, Great Aunt Jackie and his “Ne Ne” as well as step grandparents, Marilyn and Edmund Dube. Chasse – Gavin G., 24, a resident of Litchfield, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine. Visiting hours will be prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held following the service at 4 Pelican Drive, Litchfield, Maine. In lieu of flowers Gavin’s mother would appreciate donations to start a memorial scholarship fund in Gavin’s name at Oak Hill High School.
