Obituary for Jerome Flagg Flagg Jr.

Lewiston – Jerome A. Flagg, Jr., “Jerry” 54, a resident of Chesterville, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He was born on March 5, 1968, in Augusta, the son of Jerome A., Sr. and Patricia (Pollis) Flagg. He grew up in Fayette and was a 1986 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. Jerry was a “Jack of all Trades”, a skilled logger, heavy equipment operator, construction worker, wheeler and dealer, and Mr. Fix It. He worked for several well-known logging outfits, many other various companies, including his own, and installing commercial kitchens with his beloved brother Todd. Also, he and his brother shared in cutting wood together. Jerry grew up spending many weekends with his entire family, uncles, aunts, and cousins at his Gram and Grampa’s camp in Stratton. Snowmobiling, fishing, 4-wheeling, and mudding in Grampa’s old red Willys Jeep. He was involved in 4-H at the Fayette Grange and had a love for horses. He considered himself a bit of a cowboy and even placed at horse shows. Jerry shared this family tradition with cousins and son Brandon. Father and son also spent years logging together as a team, and camping weekends in Langtown. Jerry knew how to have a good time; he was the life of the party! A good ol’country boy with the nickname “Bull”. He was a man’s man, strong, loving, hardworking, outgoing, and adventurous. A loyal friend to people from all walks of life, always lending a hand, usually with a little wit, chuckle, and a grin. Jerry loved the outdoors, especially going up North driving down dirt roads, singing to country music, taking in the scenery, and exchanging a good story. He had bad experiences in life, and often taught the lessons that he had learned. Even sharing his own personal beliefs of Faith with some. In recent months he spent quality time with his son reminiscing. Jerry is survived by his beloved son, Brandon S.A. Flagg of Jay, who he shared a strong bond with, his sisters, Debra Richard of Glenville, NY, Kimberly Ward of Stewartstown, PA, brothers, Joseph Flagg of Fayette, Todd Flagg and wife Elsie Goldstein of Berkeley, MA, Theodore Flagg of Livermore, Russell Flagg of Livermore Falls, and sister, Dorothea Doiron of Turner, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, including his son’s mother Jamie Poland of Jay. Jerry took so many under his wing, including brothers, Stephan Ross, Jalen Mitchell, and Jasiah Grose all of Chesterville. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, Theodore and Dorothea (Quinn) Flagg and Leroy and Carrie (Stevens) Pollis. Messages of condolence may be sent to: www.finleyfuneralhome.com
