Obituary for Joseph M. Ayotte

Leeds – Joseph M. Ayotte, 72, of Leeds, passed away at his home on Friday, December 1st, following a lengthy illness. He was born January 9, 1951, in Fort Kent, Maine, the son of Josephel and Viola (Campbell) Ayotte. He attended Eastern High School in Bristol, Connecticut. Following high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Marines in Vietnam. He worked as a carpenter for several years. He later moved to Maine where he enjoyed his pontoon boat excursions on Androscoggin Lake. As a proud veteran he would bring other veterans out on his pontoon boat for comfort rides. He was a member of the Androscoggin Lake Yacht Club. Joe loved fishing with his grandchildren, and his great-nephew Steven Pomerleau. His true passion was his dogs, Mason, Cora and Lexi and his cats Miss Kitty and Mia. Joe is survived by 2 daughters, Tricia Forsman & husband Keith of Hampden, and Katie Ayotte Kelley of Greene, 2 brothers; Dwayne Ayotte and fiancé Jet Thorne of Leeds; William Ayotte of Florida, 2 sisters, Debra Ayotte of and Lisa Akers both of Florida. 6 grandchildren, Kaleb, Jacob, and Christian Forsman; Nathan and Nicholas Lahay, Hannah Kelley, 2 great-grandchildren, Emyrson and Elise and Harper Violet expected soon, also, Joe is leaving behind several nieces and nephews.
