Obituary for Joseph A. "Joe" Chabot

Livermore Falls – Joseph A. Chabot, 54, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at his home. He was born on January 2, 1968, in Lewiston, the son of Joseph Henry and Mariette Marie-Rose Anna (Morin) Chabot. Chabot was a true friend to so many people. His intelligence, thoughtfulness, and sense of humor always made him great company. Joe’s academic excellence made his family proud while a student at Livermore Falls High School and when he completed an electronics degree from CMCC. After years of work in the electronics field, Joe returned to his hometown of Livermore Falls to take over his father’s very popular taxi business, Twin Town Taxi. Joe had a wide range of interests that allowed him to provide informed and humorous commentary on almost any topic. In particular, he loved all New England sports and lived to be able to bask in the glory days of Boston becoming Title Town. He will be remembered for his epic road trips with Phil and others, unforgettable poker games, and relaxing in his favorite places like the Richards’ Camp. He was a movie aficionado and had a great appreciation for music. As the years caught up with Joe’s health, he settled into staying at home and enjoying his sports, favorite movies, visits from friends, taking care of Daisy (his beloved dog), and becoming an unrivaled Grill Master. Joe was a loyal and trusted friend who lived life on his own terms. His company will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Joe was predeceased by his parents and siblings. He is survived by many cousins and countless friends, to include dear friends Phil Legere and Pete Richard. Messages of condolence may be left on the memory wall at: www.finleyfuneralhome.com.
