Obituary for Lawrence E. Spencer

Farmington – Lawrence E. Spencer, 86, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. He was born on October 15, 1935, in Lewiston, the son of Edward and Edith (Proctor) Spencer. He attended schools in Lewiston and later received his GED. After school he proudly served in the United States Marines. On May 4, 1969, in Lewiston, he married Joyce Helms. Over the years Larry worked for SAD #36 as a Janitor and Bus Driver, and for the Town of Livermore Falls as a Police Officer and Dispatcher. He enjoyed his years as a Scout Leader and the connections it brought him. He truly enjoyed working in the community he lived in. In his younger years Larry enjoyed Flying. He enjoyed tying flies, fishing, painting as an artist, watching history shows, and especially watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. He is survived by his daughters; Tamara Spencer, Amanda Blais and husband John, Holly Lawson and husband Cory all of Livermore Falls, and Lynn Morin of Lewiston, his sons; Shawn Spencer, Kevin Spencer, Timothy Spencer all of Livermore Falls, and Patrick Spencer of Lewiston, 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and his siblings Cliff and Avis.
