Farmington – Lorretta M. Maxwell, 79, a longtime resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Orchard Park in Farmington. She was born on September 24, 1942, Farmington, Maine, the daughter of Leslie and Mabel V. (Holt) Hutchins. Lorretta attended Leavitt High School in Turner and later received her GED from Livermore Falls High School. On April 3, 1959, in North Turner, she married George W. Maxwell, Sr. They were married for 51 years before his passing in 2011. Lorretta was a school bus driver for 35 years, but her favorite job was being a wife and mother to her family. She enjoyed camping, watching NASCAR races, reading, and going out to eat. She is survived by her daughter Tina Labbe and husband Peter of Jay, her sons, Timothy Maxwell and wife Darlene of Manchester and Tony Maxwell of Livermore, her daughter-in-law Mary Maxwell of Gardiner, 17 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, her sister Beverly Berry of North Turner, her special nephew Daniel Berry, whom she shared a birthday with, her brother and sisters-in-law, Doreen Maxwell, Stan Maxwell and wife Carolyn, Marilyn Black, and Jessie Mitchell, and many nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her in-laws Clifton and Christine Maxwell, her husband George Sr., her son George Maxwell, Jr., her infant granddaughter Barbara Joan, her brother Vinton Hutchins and his wife Jean, her brothers-in-law, Tom Berry and Robert Maxwell, her sister-in-law Sylvia Lee and her husband Reginald, and her beloved dog Simon.
