Lewiston - Lyndon Richard Spaulding returned to his heavenly Father on August 26, 2022. Lyndon was born December 25, 1940, to Ruby Hinkley and Clair Spaulding of Wales, Maine. He graduated from Lewiston High School, class of 1958. Lyndon is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years Donna Lee (Severy) Spaulding, whom he married on November 4, 1961. He resided in Wales his whole life where he and Donna raised their 5 children; James Spaulding (who passed in 2016), Frank Spaulding and his wife Judy of New Sharon, Maine, Kelly Duquette and her husband Paul of Holiday, Florida and Greene, Maine, Russell Spaulding and his wife Barbara of Palmyra, Pennsylvania, and Jeffrey Spaulding and his wife Ramya of Sunnyvale, California. Lyndon is also survived by his younger brother and best friend Steven Willis Spaulding of Wales, ME and Newberry, FL, and his 12 grandchildren; Joshua, Caleb, Michael, Ashley, Nicholas, Kayla, Heather, Daniel, Andrew, Matthew, Lauren and Nicole, and his 6 great-grandchildren. Lyndon spent his whole working life at Waterman’s Farm Machinery and loved every second of it. He is remembered as a hard worker and great family man, who gave his gift of sarcasm to most of his grandchildren. He was a creature of habit with bushy eyebrows over sparkling blue eyes that loved gardening, fried shrimp and clams, and could shell a lobster faster than anyone else. He was an avid pet lover who loved the Red Sox, favored the Giants (with the Patriots as a close second), and tolerated the Celtics as a winter sport option. He was a little league baseball coach for years in Monmouth when his children were growing up and a passionate Spades player who taught his kids and grandkids to be competitive at card games. He preferred to burn firewood (often that he had cut himself) so the house could be 85 in the middle of winter, and he loved fishing with his sons. Spaulding – Lyndon Richard, 81, a resident of Wales, Maine passed away August 26, 2022, in Lewiston, Maine. A funeral service will be held 11AM, Friday, September 2, 2022, at BRAGDON-FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 707 Main Street, Monmouth, Maine. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the funeral home. Interment East Wales Cemetery, East Road, Wales, Maine.
