Auburn – Patricia A. “Patty” Libby, 89, a longtime resident of North Turner passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at Schooner Estates in Auburn, with her daughter by her side. She was born July 31, 1932, in Livermore Falls the daughter of Donat Chicoine and Josephine (McQuire) Chicoine. She was a 1950 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On December 31, 1950, in Winthrop she married Lloyd V. Libby. They enjoyed 54 years of together before his passing on May 4, 2005. Patty worked for the United States Post Office as an HCR driver delivering mail from North Turner to Wayne Post Office. She also worked as a Beeline Clothing distributor for many years and L & L Well Drilling with her husband. Patty with her sister Lois, owned and operated Lois & Pat's Store in North Turner for years. She attended North Turner Presbyterian Church and St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Patty volunteered at Victorian Villa Nursing Home (Pinnacle) in Canton. Patty enjoyed doing ceramics, sitting by her pool, playing Skip-Bo, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her son, Rocky Libby and wife Ginny of Hartford, daughter, Lori “Missy” Libby of Millinocket, daughter-in-law, Barbara Libby of Livermore, four grandchildren, William Libby, Kerri Gleason, Jessi Brooks, Maygan Callahan, six great grandchildren, Connor Gleason, Landon Brooks, Elias Libby, Willow Libby, Saoirse Libby, Silas Callahan, Mae Callahan. She was predeceased by her father and mother, husband Lloyd Libby, son Russell Libby, her brothers Manny, Lawrence, Arnold, Walter, Ovila, Norman, and Paul Chicoine, her sisters Madeline Coombs, Betty Chicoine, Lois Walton, Dorothy Chambers, Gloria Dunham, and Pauline Coombs.
