Obituary for Raoul Albert "T-Boy" LaPlante
Auburn – Raoul Albert “T-Boy” LaPlante, 88, a longtime resident of Livermore Falls, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Hospice House of Androscoggin with his loving family by his side. He was born September 4, 1934, in Mexico, Maine, the son of Alphonse LaPlante and Aldea (Michaud) LaPlante. He was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. Following graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War and was part of the Army Reserves for many years. On July 6, 1965, at St. Rose of Lima in Jay, he married Marsha Mason of North Turner. He worked as a heavy equipment operator on the yard crew at International Paper Company at both the Otis and Androscoggin Mills in Jay. He was a member of the George Bunton Post 10 American Legion in Livermore Falls. T-Boy enjoyed farming his property, watching the birds and nature and smoking his pipe. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Marsha LaPlante of Livermore Falls, his son, Teddy Chaney and wife Nancy of Jay, grandchildren, Heather Chaney of Rangeley, Hillary Chaney of Jay, Hannah Linck and husband Dan of Jay and Hailey Chaney of Providence, RI., his sister Gertrude Richards of Livermore, as well as many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents, and siblings, Robert, Norman, Emile, Rene, Wilfred, Beatrice, Antoinette, Olivette, and Pauline. Messages of condolence may be sent to: www.finleyfuneralhome.com
