Obituary for Roger R. Laverdiere

Livermore Falls – Roger R. Laverdiere, 85, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away peacefully, Monday, November 7, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 21, 1937, in Livermore Falls, the son of Joseph and Laetitia (LaPointe) Laverdiere. He attended schools in Livermore Falls and was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School. After high school he served in the US Army. On April 27, 1963, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, he married Gail Bamford of Livermore Falls. Roger worked as a meat cutter for Sampson Super Market and later as a Real Estate Broker and at Bailey Brothers Ford as a Car Salesperson. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and a member of the American Legion Post 10 in Livermore Falls. Roger is survived by his wife Gail Laverdiere of Livermore Falls, children; Wendy Bourassa and husband Gerard of Jay, Pamela Couture and husband Dean of Jay, and Shawn Laverdiere and wife Kathryn of Buxton. Four grandchildren, Ryan Bourassa, Nicholas Bourassa and spouse Samantha, Jordan Couture and spouse McKenna, Jahna McLaughlin and spouse AJ. Four great grandchildren Jace, Keslee, Mila, Malory. His brother Normand Laverdiere and spouse Harriet, of Madison, and his sister Loretta McCobb of Woolwich. His sister in-law Darlene Dauzuk and spouse, Dennis of South Carolina, sisters in-law Carol, Leona, Marie, Patricia, Faye Ann Laverdiere and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers; Raymond, Wilfred (FoFo), Joseph (Pete), Robert, Maurice Laverdiere and brother in-law Donald McCobb. Laverdiere – Roger R., 85, of Livermore Falls, Maine, passed away November 7, 2022 in Livermore Falls, Maine. Funeral service with full Military Honors will be held at 1PM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 4-6PM at the funeral home. Interment at North Fayette Cemetery, North Road, Fayette, Maine.
