Monmouth- Rosalie A. Tenney, cherished wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the age of 91, at her home with her family by her side. She was born July 25, 1931, in Sparta, North Carolina, the daughter of Lonza M. Andrews and Lura Mae (Sparks) Andrews. She attended schools in Dublin, Maryland and graduated from Dublin High School. On July 23, 1949, in Maryland, she married the love of her life, Hillman L. Tenney Sr., who she met on a blind date. Together they shared 71 wonderful years of marriage. He passed away on May 30, 2021. She worked at Bata Shoe Company. In 1993 her husband retired, and they moved to Maine in 2006. She had a great love for her family and the Lord. Rosalie enjoyed playing card games, word puzzles, spending time with her family, visits to Germany, vacationing, traveling, flowers, and she always made time for others. She was a very neat and particular person who always cared about her appearance. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Ann Felton and husband Ronald of Texas, Caroline Mae Beatty and husband Jeffrey of Maryland, her son, Hillman L. Tenney, Jr. and wife Ilona of Monmouth, 4 grandchildren; Paul Rembold Jr., Rebecca A. Beatty, William W. Tenney, and Nicole R. Tenney, and 6 great-grandchildren; Katelyn Rembold, Taylor Blevins, Chase Blevins, Jillian Tenney, Jacob Perry, and Wyatt Tenney. Rosalie was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband, Hillman L. Tenney, Sr., a brother, Roy Andrews, 2 sisters, Tressie Wiley and Treva Deboard, and a grandson, Kevin Rembold.
