Lewiston – Scott R. Wing, 51, a resident of North Monmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was born on November 11, 1970, the son of Ronald Wing and Judith (Chadburn) Wing. Scott attended schools in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth Academy, class of 1989. On August 6, 2011, he married Wendy Wheaton in North Monmouth. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, and brother. Scott was employed for 25 years as an Ed. Tech for the Monmouth Schools. He coached a variety of sports including, Class D High School Baseball, Class D High School Boys Basketball and Class C High School Girls Basketball, State Champions in 2017 and 2018. Scott was a State Certified Umpire for baseball and football, a member of the Monmouth Athletic Boosters, Rec. Director for Monmouth Recreation, Advisor for the National Honor Society, golf course superintendent for Maple Lane Golf Course and Boothbay Country Club. He was an avid golfer and was club champion at Boothbay Country Club. Scott is survived by his wife, Wendy Wing, two sons, Alexander Wing and McCormack Wheaton, his parents, Ron and Judy Wing, all from North Monmouth, a sister, Roberta Kemp and husband Scott of Monmouth and several nieces and nephews.
