Obituary for Steven Edward "Steve" Merrill

Auburn – Steven E. Merrill, 69, a resident of Jay, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, Maine. Steve was born on November 17, 1953, in Farmington, Maine, the son of Frank and Margaret (Bubier) Merrill. He was a 1973 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. After school he proudly served in the United States Air Force. Over the years Steve worked for Tex Tech Industries in Monmouth, the Tannery, and at Issacsons, now Pallet One, in Livermore Falls where he retired. Steve loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed trying his luck and playing the lottery. Most of all he loved his family and spending time with them any chance he could. Steve is survived by his daughter Jessica Klein and husband Stephen of Peoria, Arizona, his daughter-in-law Tina Herrera and husband Raul of Livermore, his grandchildren; Brenden Merrill and wife Emily of Jay, Cayleb and Ethan Klein of Peoria, Arizona, and Jakobe and Aaylah Herrera of Livermore, his sisters; Barbara Cook and companion Dennis Damon of Jay, Betty Nichols of Livermore Falls, and Mary Cote and husband Thom of Livermore Falls, his brothers; Tom Merrill, George Merrill and wife Marjorie, and Rick Merrill and wife Debbie all of Jay, his sister-in-law Bridgette Merrill of Jay, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, his son Jeremy Merrill, his brother Barry Merrill, his paternal grandfather Harold Merrill, and his maternal grandmother Doris (Jackman) Bubier. The family would like to thank the staff at Androscoggin Hospice House for their wonderful care of Steven, and the staff at Togus for all their help and support during this difficult time. Merrill – Steven E., 69, of Jay, Maine passed away November 29, 2022, in Auburn, Maine. A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held in the spring at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Haines Corner Road, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be held from 4PM-6PM on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
