Auburn – Wayne L. Frankhauser Sr., 86 of Lewiston died Friday, February 10th at Hospice House of Androscoggin in Auburn following a short illness. He was born January 5, 1937, in Logan, Utah, the son of Frederick W. and Lila Ann (Johnson) Frankhauser. Wayne was educated in Logan schools and was a graduate of Utah State University in Logan, Utah with the class of 1965, after serving in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1962. On May 16, 1959, he married Nancy Butcher of Lisbon Falls. Nancy passed away December 23, 2007. Following graduation from Utah State, he and his family moved to Maine. Wayne worked as Personnel Manager at Casco Bank & Trust Co, Personnel Manager of Albany Felt Co. of North Monmouth and Auburn, Personnel Manager of Etonic, Inc. in Auburn, Richmond and Brockton, Mass. After Etonic, he was the Director of Health & Safety for the Maine Department of Transportation from where he retired in 1999. Before moving to Lewiston, he lived in Greene and Monmouth where he was active in the Boy Scouts. Wayne served on the Monmouth Planning Board, President of the Monmouth Water Association and a member of the Monmouth Federal Credit Union’s Credit Committee. He was a member, past Master, and Secretary of Nezinscot Lodge #101 A.F.& A.M., also a member of the Scottish and York Rites. He was a Noble of Kora Temple and a member of Kora’s Provost Unit. He was a member of the American Legion Post #2 in Augusta. Wayne married Jeanne Poulin on December 16, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Poulin, his son, Wayne, Jr. and his wife Suzanne of East Pittston; 3 grandchildren, Kevin and Erin Frankhauser of East Pittston and Nicklaus Mocciola, of Monmouth and his sister, Judy Mitton, of Smithfield, Utah. He was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Nancy Frankhauser; his daughter, Susan Frankhauser in 2016; a brother, Jack; and a sister, Ann Kelsey.
